Fences serve a purpose. Some fences are to keep things in, others are to keep things out, and in either case, the wise farmer knows to never take a fence down until he knows why it was put up.
In the cabinetry manufacturing business, processes share something in common with fences, and that is that we should never replace or abandon a defined process until we know why it was created in the first place.
Those who know me well, probably know that I have a process for creating processes, and part of that process is to never replace or abandon a process unless we know why that process was developed, and to ALWAYS create and test the replacement process before abandoning the original process and putting the new process in place.
If you are looking for a good way to document (and improve) your processes, I know no better way to do that than to use the Custom Cabinet Planner.
